On 3rd October 2019, MAD-HR Director Charlotte Bate attended the ActivLives AGM to present them with a donation of £805 to their ActivGardens project.

ActivLives is a charity which operates across Suffolk to help people in local communities to combat loneliness and isolation. Their ActivGardens project encourages people to get outside in order to improve their health and mental wellbeing. Here, members can grow fruit and vegetables as part of the community garden project, learn the skill of beekeeping at the Maidenhall allotments, or even learn carpentry, DIY and construction techniques at ActivSheds.

The money raised came from a donation by MAD-HR and funds raised from the 2019 Suffolk Chamber of Commerce Prestige Dinner.

Again, a massive thank you to all who donated on the evening, it’s fantastic to see projects such as these making such a wonderful difference to the local community.
