Respectful workplaces foster stronger teams

At MAD-HR, we work with businesses to create workplaces where people feel safe, respected and supported.

Our sexual harassment training gives managers and employees the practical tools and confidence they need to recognise inappropriate behaviour, deal with it effectively, and build a culture where it’s never tolerated.

It’s an investment that protects your people, reduces risk, and shows your commitment to a positive, professional workplace — strengthening your reputation and helping your organisation thrive.

Sexual Harassment Training For Employees

This interactive session is designed to equip employees with the skills and confidence to recognise, address, and prevent sexual harassment in the workplace. Through real-world scenarios, practical guidance, and clear legal context, participants will learn how to foster a respectful, safe, and inclusive working environment.

We can also deliver the session onsite at your premises — standard mileage costs will apply.

If you would like to tailor the content or include additional focus areas, we’re happy to accommodate this. Please note that sessions are designed on the basis that your organisation already has a sexual harassment policy, process, and ideally a risk assessment in place. Any bespoke amendments may require additional preparation time and will be charged accordingly.

We believe that a respectful workplace is the foundation of a thriving business

Sexual harassment training is essential for businesses. It helps organisations meet their legal responsibilities, protect their reputation, and create a workplace culture where everyone feels safe, valued and able to thrive.

By investing in well-designed training and ensuring policies are clearly communicated, consistently applied, and regularly reviewed, employers can significantly reduce the risk of misconduct while demonstrating a genuine commitment to equality and respect.

Sexual harassment training is important for UK businesses for a range of legal, ethical, and commercial reasons.

In Particular, comprehensive and regular training helps companies to:

Create a Postive Workplace
  • Training emphasises respect, boundaries, and appropriate workplace conduct, contributing to a safer and more inclusive environment for all employees.
  • A positive culture can lead to higher staff morale, reduced turnover, and better overall performance.
  • A publicised harassment claim can cause significant reputational harm, affecting customer perceptions, investor confidence, and the ability to attract and retain top talent.
  • By proactively promoting respectful and inclusive behaviour, businesses can build a strong ethical reputation in the marketplace.
  • Equality Act 2010: Under this legislation, sexual harassment is a form of unlawful discrimination. Employers in the UK can be held liable for acts of harassment committed by their employees if they have not taken “all reasonable steps” to prevent it. This obligation was strengthened in the Worker Protection (Amendment of Equality Act 2010) Act 2023 which came into force on 26 October 2024, introducing a legal duty for employers to proactively take reasonable steps to prevent sexual harassment.
  • Vicarious Liability: Even if a company is unaware of harassment taking place, it can still be held responsible for the actions of its staff. Training is one of the practical ways for employers to demonstrate they have taken reasonable steps to prevent harassment.
  • Training often includes guidance for managers and leaders on how to recognise and handle complaints, ensuring consistency and fairness in responses.
  • By holding everyone accountable to the same standards, businesses demonstrate that they take harassment seriously at every level.
Fulfil a Duty of Care to Employees
  • Employers have a duty of care to maintain a safe working environment. Preventing harassment and dealing with any issues swiftly is a key part of that responsibility.
  • When staff feel supported and protected by clear policies and procedures, it fosters loyalty and trust.
  • Employment tribunal claims for sexual harassment can lead to substantial legal costs and compensation payments.
  • Comprehensive training helps prevent incidents from occurring or escalating, thereby reducing the risk of costly litigation.
  • Well-designed training not only educates employees about unacceptable behaviours but also informs them about reporting mechanisms and support options.
  • Early reporting allows employers to address issues swiftly, mitigating potential damage and maintaining a productive environment.

Enjoyable Pair Work in Performance Training

Good mix of material and exercises. Pairs is ok rather than group sessions go I was glad for that. I liked the practical work in pairs practicing skills. Now I will pay attention to listening to others, repeat back what I’ve understood to check (if critical).

Great Line Management Training to Help Develop My Career

Very relaxed, open and honest discussion. Definitely learnt a lot that I can take with me as I continue to develop within my career and as a Line Manager. The need for and importance of recording conversations and identifying can’t/won’t indicators and when to intervene was interesting.

Great use of Introspection in Performance Training

Good introspection really helps engagement in the sessions. As a result, I will think more about other motivations and try and be more understanding. The questionnaire could be improved as it came back with some funny results.

Role of Manager, Leader vs Manager Training was Great!

Great session. Good balance of learning, practical and humour. All of it was useful. I learnt to self-reflect and work on people skills and risk taking thinking/innovation ideas. I want to take every training on offer!

Great Discussions and Reflections Lead by Amanda's Training

Amanda prepared a great session and facilitated strong inward and outward reflection and discussion throughout the management team. The discussions around our team objectives and individual characteristics was interesting. I will now start to employ different leadership styles for different scenarios; understanding there isn’t good or bad but each has value at different times.
