Easing of Lockdown – Step Three

Easing of Lockdown – Step Three

Easing Lockdown as at 23.06.20

Yesterday, the Prime Minister announced further easing of the coronavirus (COVID-19) restrictions as part of Step 3 of the Government’s plan to return life to as near normal as we can.  All businesses and venues can reopen from 4 July by following the updated guidelines.

There are some exceptions from the latest relaxation plans which must remain closed in law. These are:

  • Nightclubs
  • Casinos
  • Bowling alleys and Indoor skating rinks
  • Indoor play areas including soft play
  • Spas
  • Nail bars, beauty salons and tanning salons
  • Massage, tattoo and piercing parlours
  • Indoor fitness and dance studios, and indoor gyms and sports venues/facilities
  • Swimming pools including water parks
  • Exhibition or conference centres must remain closed for events such as exhibitions or conferences, other than for those who work for the business or organisation who run the venue.

“MAD-HR's Sexual Harassment in the Workplace was very informative”

“MAD-HR's Sexual Harassment in the Workplace was very informative. The Information provided in the training was a reminder of what is inappropriate in the workplace. The scenario of the employee and their line manager was useful in the aspects of context and intervention from within the business.”

Cafes, restaurants and shops that are self-contained and can be accessed from the outside, will still be permitted to open.

They have advised that they will continue to phase reopening and hope to re-open other close-contact businesses as soon as possible.
