Do you require HR training? Whether you have had HR responsibilities thrust upon you at work, your position requires you to engage in people management, or you have taken on HR duties alongside another role and lack the underpinning knowledge, we are here to help with our HR Heroes course.
This is a four-part training course that has been designed to reflect new working arrangements and restrictions. Available online via Zoom conference calling, the course can be accessed from the comfort of your own work-from-home setup.
We have run previously with four courses spread over the year; however, we recognise that need for momentum and so we’re proposing to run four courses in the first half of 2021 and then again in the second half.
“Friendly and proactive.”
“I found the experience to be very friendly, encouraging and informative. Naomi ensured to involve everybody and was able to express and impress the need for correct procedures, providing explanations and scenarios along the way.” Read the full review
Here is an overview of the HR Heroes course content:

Conduct and Performance – Focusing on the ‘Won’t Do’ versus the ‘Can’t Do’ – 18th March 2021
In the workplace, wherever there are people, there can be challenging behaviours and different levels of performance. There comes a point where you can ignore it no longer, however you may be unsure where to start. This course will give delegates the skills and confidence to effectively manage these people and situations the right way.
Capability and Grievance – Managing the ‘Can’t Do’ situations and Dealing with Grievances – 15th April 2021
We will look at those difficult situations where an employee is just unable to cope with the demands of the job – whether that’s due to illness, lack of training or general ability. This session will also cover how to manage long-term absence which arises from a disability and an overview of sickness absence generally. We will also explore the process for dealing with both formal and informal grievances.
Family Friendly Entitlements – 28th April 2021
Confused by the difference between Parental and Shared Parental Leave? We explain all of the statutory entitlements to time off – from maternity, paternity and adoption leave to the new entitlement to parental bereavement leave. We cover how to deal with a flexible working request and what you need to have in place for home-based workers.
